One of BActs most dedicated workers is Laurie Klein. The thing we
cant figure out is, where does she find the time? This busy grandmother has numerous
interests, from cooking to photography, and her activities include such various things as
organizing book fairs and playing volleyball. Her involvement in BAct may have started in
1990, when she got a part in Night of January 16th. Getting a part in a play probably
seemed harmless enough to her at the time. Little did she know how much of a demand BAct
would place on her time and energy in the future! You see, Laurie is one of those
indispensable people who no sooner sees a need than she sets about to fill it.
She is a gregarious person, so it was natural that she was soon involved in spreading
the good word about BAct outside the confines of our little group. This labor of love
became a defined job when she was elected as the clubs Public Relations Officer two
years ago. Since then, her vantage point as a member of the Board has allowed her to see
even more needs crying to be met, and she has not been slow to respond to the challenge.
Look how many times her name appears in this program alone. Publicity head,
photographer, house manager, assistant producer; the list goes on. Laurie, we love you,
but dont burn yourself out! And thank you for all your good help!
