Although this hasn't been devoid of stress, I'm sure that the upsets will
fade from memory, while the joy and laughter will stay with me. Thanks to
our faithful cast, for your hours and hours of hard work, and especially to
my husband and children, who had to put up with a lot of frozen dinners!
Thanks also to my two youngest, who were abandoned while the rest of the
family went off to rehearse.
Thanks to Jim Bevan and the Bryn Athyn Orchestra (and extras) for the glorious sounds of support during all the performances. Equally glorious, although much more behind-the-scenes, is Shawn Rose. I cannot thank Shawn enough for faithfully showing up and playing for all of our rehearsals, after Tamar sprouted wings and flew onto the stage. His gentle sphere and steady hands have been a boon to me and to the cast. Also, thanks to Tamar for volunteering to accompany before it had even occurred to me to ask anyone, and for playing until we needed her on the stage.
Thank you, Andrea, for your sense of humor, and for teaming up with two such cantankerous and opinionated directors as Cameron and I are (at least, I am!). Thank you to Jim Bevan, Keith Genzlinger, and Joe D'Alicandro for their help in finding musicians, and to Sonja Zecher for her photocopying. Finally, thank you, Cameron, for asking me to do this!
